Aggie gameday

Here are a few pics from yesterday's fun. Isn't the one of Ansley posing cute? The necklace in one of the pictures was given to her by a little girl that was sitting across the street from us. She had been watching Ansley and decided she wanted her to have her necklace.

Aggie gameday

Here are a few pics from yesterday's fun. How funny is the one of Ansley posing? The necklace she's wearing in one of them was given to her by a precious little girl that was sitting across the street from us while we were waiting on the band to march by. She had been watching Ansley and decided she wanted her to have her necklace. Cute!

She's sitting up!!!

Ansley sat up on her own this morning for the first time while we were visiting with some friends and their babies. I was holding her shoulders while she was sitting and when I let go, she stayed up. I can't believe how quickly she's growing and reaching new milestones. She's also using more consonants and just started saying da-da-da-da lately. SO cute! This is the most precious little girl I have ever seen and I love being her mommy. What a blessing she is!

We can't wait for Aggie gameday again this weekend so we can dress up and go hang out on campus. Gig 'em Aggies!

Sewing, sewing, sewing...

We're ready for Ansley's first Halloween now. I kinda just thought up this idea of her dressing as candy corn (maybe I was craving some at the time since it's my favorite) and worked on the costume yesterday. I've posted a pic and there are orange leggings to go with it. Hopefully it will be much cooler by that time. I absolutely LOVE Halloween night because we live in a neighborhood full of kids and we sit outside giving them candy and looking at the cute costumes. So, we're going to dress Ansley up and she's going to help us hand out the candy.

I also found some great fabric and made her a dress yesterday while she napped for two and a half hours. Yeah, you read that correctly...she napped for that long. I'm loving this sewing thing.

By the way, the girl in the nursery at church this morning just loved holding Ansley the whole time. I've never met her before and this was obviously her first time with Ansley because she told me about how laid back Ansley was the whole time. Then she told me that she seems like she's ready to start crawling and walking. She got that part right... the little girl's ready to go!

Just one more pic...

A new best friend

So Ansley's been playing with her little giggling bunny all day long. I put it in her swing with her and she put her little arm around it and fell asleep. How cute is that? We also borrowed an exercauser from Aunt Misty and she's loving it. The seat swivels and she makes her rounds playing with all of the toys. She has to be constantly stimulated or she gets fussy. I'm guessing she gets bored. Remember how in an earlier post I said that her personality seems to be just like mine? Case in point.

I've been busy making onesies and bows for a woman's granddaughter who is having a baby shower at the end of the month. I'm having fun doing it, but it's definitely a challenge with a five month old who wants my attention. I'm just about finished and am excited for her to get them. Then I can work on some more for Ansley.

Ansley's first rainbow and Aggie football pregame

Thursday it poured here and as we walked outside to get the mail we saw the most beautiful rainbow. Of course Ansley didn't notice, but I got Jeff to take a photo anyway. You can see it if you look carefully. The photo really doesn't do it justice.

This morning I whipped up an Aggie dress for Ansley to wear to the pregame festivities. It was really simple and I'm planning on making a lot more. As I wheeled her around campus, it seemed like everyone commented on how cute she was. She really was, if I do say so myself. She was pretty enthralled by all of the activity. There's just nothing like gameday in Aggieland. Her looks even helped me finagle my way to a room in the 12th Man Foundation full of cushy leather chairs to feed her. Then we were mistaken for some high-up's granddaughter and great-granddaughter. It was funny because usually I would not get myself into that type of position because I always follow the rules and only go where I'm supposed to, but when you have a hungry baby, there are no limits to what you'll do to take care of her. By the way, the photo I've posted is not my best, but I was hot and sweaty and all makeup was gone. Mom...I know I needed lipstick.

The other photo is of a onesie I've made someone and a flower clip I've just learned to make. I think it's precious and I'm sure I'll be making a lot more of those.
